ICSE Maths Tuition
Overview
How I approach ICSE Maths
ICSE maths needs accuracy across many formats: commercial maths, algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry, statistics, and probability. The syllabus expects students to move between calculation-heavy chapters and proof-based chapters without losing method. I teach ICSE students by first separating careless mistakes from concept gaps. A student may know the formula but still lose marks because units are mishandled, construction steps are incomplete, or algebraic simplification is weak. In Classes 8 and 9, I focus heavily on algebraic identities, factorisation, indices, percentage applications, and geometry reasoning because these become the base for Class 10. In Class 10, I train students to write board-ready solutions: clean steps, correct substitution, correct rounding, and final statements. Practice is not just more sums. It is sequenced from basic recognition to mixed questions so the student learns when to use each method. The goal is confidence across the full paper, not strength in only the chapters the student already likes.

Common Gaps
Commercial maths errors often come from percentage and ratio weakness, not the current chapter.
Algebra signs and brackets cause repeated loss of marks in longer solutions.
Geometry diagrams are drawn, but theorem selection is uncertain.
Students know formulas but do not check units, rounding, or final statements.
