The Diagnostic Assessment โ€” Test + Teaching in One Session

Your child solves. I observe. Then I teach the exact concepts they struggled with. You watch me teach. Assessment and demo โ€” done.

Your Child Gets Assessed. You See How I Teach. One Session, Both Answered.

Parents always ask for two things: "Can you test my child?" and "Can we see a demo class?" The diagnostic assessment gives you both โ€” in a single 60-minute session, without the awkwardness of a "demo."

Here's how it works: your child solves a set of carefully designed questions while I observe โ€” not just what they get wrong, but how they approach each problem, where they hesitate, what shortcuts they take, what fundamental concepts are shaky.

Then comes the part that makes this different from any other assessment. Once your child has finished, I take the very concepts they struggled with and teach them โ€” right there, in the same session. I show them the correct approach, the reasoning, the connections. Your child learns something immediately. And you, watching, see exactly how I teach.

You don't need a separate "demo class" to evaluate me. You've already watched me teach your child's actual weak areas. That's a more honest demo than any rehearsed sample lesson could ever be.

The 60 Minutes

What Happens During the Diagnostic Assessment

1

Minutes 0โ€“5: Setting Up

We connect on Google Meet. Your child shares their screen (or uses the digital whiteboard). I make them comfortable โ€” this isn't an exam, and there's no "pass" or "fail." It's a conversation through maths.

2

Minutes 5โ€“30: Your Child Solves

I present questions โ€” not random ones, but strategically designed to probe specific concepts. Each question tests a different skill: calculation, application, reasoning, multi-step thinking. I watch silently, noting not just answers but approach, speed, confidence, and error patterns.

3

Minutes 30โ€“50: I Teach What They Missed

This is the core of the diagnostic โ€” and the part that doubles as your demo. I pick the 2โ€“3 concepts where I saw the most significant gaps, and I teach them. Not "here's the correct answer" โ€” but the full concept, the reasoning, the visual understanding. Your child has an "aha" moment. You see my teaching style firsthand.

4

Minutes 50โ€“60: Discussion With You

I speak directly with you. I explain what I observed โ€” which concepts are strong, where the gaps are, and what caused them. I outline what a structured plan would look like for your child. No sales pitch, just a clear picture.

The Written Gap Report โ€” Within 24 Hours

Within 24 hours of the diagnostic, you receive a detailed written report on WhatsApp. This isn't a generic template โ€” it's a specific analysis of your child's mathematical profile.

The report covers: which concepts are solid, which have surface-level understanding (the dangerous kind โ€” they "pass" but don't truly understand), which have genuine gaps, and where those gaps originated (often from 1โ€“2 years earlier).

You keep this report regardless of whether you continue with me. It's yours. Many parents have told me this report alone was worth โ‚น750 because it gave them clarity they'd never gotten from school PTMs or coaching centre "progress reports."

Why โ‚น750

The Diagnostic Costs โ‚น750 โ€” Here's Why It's Not Free

Free demos attract window shoppers. I've seen it โ€” parents book free sessions with 5 tutors, never commit to any, and the child keeps falling behind while the adults keep "evaluating."

โ‚น750 filters for parents who are serious about their child's maths education. It also respects the 60 minutes of focused, personalised assessment and teaching that I'm providing โ€” this isn't a 15-minute phone call. It's a genuine diagnostic session followed by real teaching.

And if you decide to continue with regular classes, the โ‚น750 gives you something concrete: a written gap report that becomes the foundation of your child's customised learning plan.

Questions About the Diagnostic

Is this a test? Will my child feel pressured?
It's an assessment, not an exam. There's no pass or fail. I make it conversational โ€” your child solves questions while I observe. Most students actually enjoy it because the questions are interesting, and the teaching that follows immediately shows them something new.
Can I sit in and watch?
Absolutely. In fact, I encourage it โ€” especially during the second half when I'm teaching the concepts. That's the part where you see exactly how I work. Parents have told me, "I knew within 10 minutes of watching you teach that this is what my child needed."
What if my child already knows everything?
Then the diagnostic will confirm that, and I'll tell you honestly. I'm not going to fabricate gaps to get a student. If your child is genuinely strong, the report will say so, and I'll suggest what they could work on to go from good to exceptional.
Do I have to commit to regular classes after the diagnostic?
No. The diagnostic is a standalone session. The written report is yours regardless. If what you see convinces you, we talk about regular classes. If it doesn't, no hard feelings โ€” you still walk away with a clear picture of your child's maths profile.
How do I book?
WhatsApp me or call. We'll find a time that works, connect on Google Meet, and get started. Most diagnostics are booked within 2โ€“3 days of inquiry.
